If you are unable to reach the MyWit website or other content using Google Chrome, follow these instructions:
Step 1: Open Google Chrome and go to Settings. You can do this by either clicking “Command” and “,” at the same time on your keyboard if you are using a Mac, or by clicking the three dots going up and down in the top right corner of the window, then select the last option in that pop-up.
Step 2: Select the “Privacy and security “option on the left side of the screen, then click “Security” towards the bottom middle. This option should be the second to last option if done correctly.
Step 3: Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, then look for the setting “Select DNS provider.” It will say the current DNS provider is “OS default (when available).” Click on the box that states OS default, then change it to “Google (Public DNS).”
Once this is done, you can try to go to the MyWit page by typing my.witcc.edu into your web address bar. You should now be able to log into MyWit. If not, please contact the IT Help Desk at 712-314-2727 for further assistance.
It is our recommendation that you report this issue to your Internet Service Provider.
