- At Western Iowa Tech Community College, we offer our cloud printing service “Follow you Printing” to all Students and Employee’s. Please be aware that you are only able to print from your provided MacBook from the IT Department. Below are instructions on how to Install and Print to Follow you Printing
Instructions
- Locate Self Service with WIT logo
- In Self Service you will see 2 printers
- Faculty/Staff - Follow Me Printing Faculty and Staff Color Oct 2025
- Students - Follow Me Printing Sept 2024 (Monochrome)
- Once installed you are now able to print files as needed, when you are ready to print you can use the Print shortcut which is Command + P keys on your keyboard at the same time. Choose the printer that applies to you from the drop-down menu and click Print.
- Your first time printing you will have to sign in with your WIT credentials. Click the Printer on the bottom right with the Warning triangle. A Queue window will pop up showing that your document is waiting for authentication, Click the small retry button to the right of your document
- A new pop-up window will appear asking for a user name and password. Your user name will be in the following format: witxxxxxxx (7 Digit ID#). The password will be the same as what you use to sign into your MyWit Portal whether that be the default password or a personal created password. Once entered check the “Remeber this password in my keychain” for automatic print jobs in the future and click OK
Troubleshooting Tips
- Make sure you are using the correct password for your WIT credentials
